HOW TO FIND AND CREATE YOUR COLOR PALETTE π¨ I could spend HOURS scrolling down Pinterest and finding photos that inspire me. The best way to find a color palette that best suits you is by doing just that. β
β
Here are 5 steps you can take when creating your color palette!β
β
1. GO ON PINTEREST AND SEARCH UP KEYWORDS OF THINGS THAT INTEREST YOU. β
I typically search for items such as decor that inspires me, places I'd like to travel to, fashion statement pieces, architectural scenic views, or anything that fits my interests; like coffee βοΈβ
β
2. SAVE PHOTOS THAT CAPTURE YOUR EYE AT FIRST GLANCE! ποΈβ
Idk about you, but I most certainly don't go through every single photo I see. I usually scroll until something pops up that is eye catching. Then, I save to either a designated folder that I've previously created or to my phone.β
β
3. CHOOSE 3 OF YOUR FAVORITE PHOTOS πβ
This is when you narrow it down to 3 of your absolute favorite photos. They don't have to be categorized, but I do suggest having different tones for each photo. This will allow you to have more options in color to choose from.β
β
4. FIND THE HEX CODE COLORS FROM YOUR PHOTOS #οΈβ£β
There are websites you can use to upload a photo on, and it will automatically find the hex code colors for you. Some, even allow you to drag an eyedropper to the color that you want to identify from the image. A hex code should contain 6 characters that consist of numbers and letters.β
β
5. CHOOSE 4-6 COLORS FOR YOUR PALETTE! ππππβ€οΈπβ
The final step is to round up 4-6 colors to create your palette. I suggest mixing up tones if the colors you are wanting to choose fall in the same category in color. For example: BROWN, there are MANY undertones in brown. I also suggest choosing one or two colors that will stand out your the palette. β
β
And there you have it, your very own custom made color palette! β
