At the intersection of healthcare, medical research, and law, Emory UAEM seeks to advocate for neglected disease research and affordable drug prices

09/28/2020

UAEM is continuing its tradition of organizing a Pre-Health Gala this semester open to undergraduates, with a focus on first year students interested in pursuing pre-health careers. This is an opportunity to become familiarized with some of the pre-health clubs offered at Emory, engage in discussions with peers that may inspire future collaborations, and indicate interest in joining new organizations. Each club participating in the gala will give a ~2-minute overview of their organization, after which there will be an opportunity to join the private, direct follow-up Zoom meetings for any club of interest. This event offers a chance to meet fellow students interested in health careers and learn about opportunities to get involved in the Emory pre-health community.

The Pre-Health Gala will be held this Thursday, October 1st, from 6-7:30PM via Zoom (https://emory.zoom.us/J/4668507249)

The following clubs will be represented:

Emory Universities Allied for Essential Medicines (UAEM)
Doctors Without Borders
American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB)
Remote Area Medical (RAM)
Emory Pre-Medical Association (EPMA)
Emory American Student Dental Association (EASDA)
Phi Delta Epsilon
Health and Development in Guatemala
Pre-Physician Assistant Society
Student Alliance for Health Involvement at Emory (SAHI)
Global Medical Brigades
Emory Undergraduate Service Journal Club (EUSJC)
Emory MEDLIFE
Emory Children's Healthcare Outreach (ECHO)

We hope you will join us at this event!
