Jessica D. Lawrence is an Atlanta native and public service professional with extensive experience in strategic operations, workforce development, and community-centered leadership. She earned an Associate of Science in Business Administration, a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with a pre-law concentration, and a Master of Public Administration, grounding her career in both analytical and ethical approaches to public problem solving.

With more than a decade of experience supporting mission-driven programs, Jessica has built a reputation for strengthening systems that serve families, caregivers, and underserved communities across Georgia. As a first-generation college graduate and longtime caregiver, she leads from lived experience, fueling her commitment to creating programs and environments where people feel seen, supported, and empowered.

Jessica lives in Atlanta with her twin children. When she isn't working, you can find her writing, volunteering in her community, or developing creative projects that bring people together and inspire meaningful conversation.

Georgia Reads for America250 came to life as the Lee County Library and the Literate Lee partners celebrated our country's 250th birthday with a Mayor's Reading Club event featuring Bluey, US flags from the Exchange Club of Lee County, and a whole lot of reading fun.
