Last night Squad 4 responded to a hospital for a person trapped in a stalled elevator car inside a blind shaft. The only access to the elevator shaft was in the Operating Room, were active surgeries were taking place. Once power was secured and the car stabilized, Squad 4 and Batt 5 members scrubbed in, made entry to the OR, and performed the successful rescue of the occupant. All other options were exhausted with an elevator tech.
