Weird Secondhand Finds

Thrifting with my grandma and found this gem at an antique store. 😅

Found me a little friend today. He is going to look so cool in my flower bed. Hopefully I spook a person or two. Found at the Goodwill in Asheville North Carolina.

When I first found this at the Columbus market in New Jersey, it was covered with sawdust and dirt. I initially thought it was a hand made spice rack. When I got it home and cleaned it up I realized that the shelves pitched back which negated the spice rack theory. Upon further investigation I realized that each of the shelves were numbered from 1 to 8. I didn’t see the numbers because it was so dirty when I initially bought it. I think that I have figured out that it held billiard balls. It’s old, and I think it probably hung in a pool hall or a bar. I spent $25 for it. The only negative thing is that now I have to start collecting old billiard balls!

Another egg plate. This was my mothers she received it as a shower gift from an older sister in 1956/57, price still on the box, $1.19 Cdn. My aunt likely knew it was there and wanted my mother to know how extravagant she was

I finally thrifted a home for my Muppets 🤓
