The Tenderest Bloodsport
WRITE CLUB is the city's premier combative literary brawl. Each month, writers square off against each other in timed readings on opposing topics. It's poetry reading-meets-Sex Pistols gig. Past combatants include poet Theresa Davis, playwright and screenwriter Topher Payne, and novelist Jessica Handler. Bouts held the second Wednesday each month at the Highland Ballroom, hosted by Nicholas Tecosky and Myke Johns.
