For lineworkers, rain isnโt a reason to slow down, itโs motivation to move and get the job done. And thatโs exactly what theyโre doing today.
The day began with a beautiful and heartfelt opening ceremony featuring the presentation of our nationโs flag, a salute to our country, and prayer before competitors took to the poles.

What a powerful way to close out the ๐
๐ ๐๐จ๐ง๐๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐๐. Sen. John Kennedy thanked lineworkers for their dedication, passion, and sacrifice in keeping the lights on, even during the most challenging weather conditions.
Last year, Sen. Kennedy signed Senate Resolution 253 recognizing and honoring lineworkers for their extraordinary service during Hurricane Helene.
On the wake of Georgia Lineworker Appreciation on April 13th, it was especially meaningful for Sen. Kennedy to attend this yearโs conference and personally present Charlie Purcell, Electric Superintendent, City of Douglas, GA Government with a signed copy of the resolution in a room full of his municipal peers and colleagues.
A fitting tribute to the men and women who answer the call when communities need them most.

As the ๐
๐ ๐๐จ๐ง๐๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐๐ comes to a close, the final day was certainly one to remember.
This morning began with an empowering leadership presentation, โ๐ช๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ณ๐๐๐
,โ presented by Chad Johnson of Ozarks Electric Cooperative. Attendees gained valuable insight on leading with purpose, influence, and impact.
The ECG Training & Safety team also opened the floor for an engaging Q&A session, encouraging attendees to ask questions and discuss important industry topics. These conversations created a valuable opportunity for shared learning, collaboration, and open dialogue.
