Meet Luci Saxton, a student at Mercer University’s Stetson-Hatcher School of Business! Luci is majoring in Business Management and is set to graduate in December 2026 before walking with the Class of 2027.

Luci chose Business Management because she wanted to learn how the workplace operates, how it varies from company to company, and how to become a better leader.

One of her favorite experiences has been finding friends within her major and business core classes, while also beginning her journey working in corporate America.

Luci says Donna Terrill has made a meaningful impact through her uplifting advice and encouragement. She also calls Mercer Business “the biggest life hack,” crediting the BCCPD for helping with her resume, job opportunities, and learning how to be comfortable at the starting point.

Her advice: give the business school your all and utilize your professors!

Meet Sam Aguirre, a student at Mercer University’s Stetson-Hatcher School of Business! Sam is studying Business Management with a minor in Political Science and is set to graduate in May 2027.

With an interest in how organizations work, how leaders make decisions, and how communication can create a positive impact, Sam has found a meaningful connection between business and her passion for helping others. Through management courses with Dr. Adair and leadership courses with Dr. Carty, she has learned about communication, motivation, conflict resolution, and decision-making, skills she now applies as President of Phi Mu.

That same interest in people, leadership, and responsibility has shaped Sam’s goal of attending law school after graduation. Her Business Law class strengthened her interest in a legal career and showed her how business and law can work together to create ethical, effective leaders.

Sam encourages future students to take advantage of every opportunity, build relationships, be kind, and treat everyone with respect.
