$40 million worth of crypto stolen from Step Finance — hackers compromise executives’ devices to gain illicit access 05/27/2026

The biggest crypto hack of the year: $40M drained from Decentralized finance (DeFi) platform 💰

Whilst the exact breach point is yet to be pinpointed, it’s likely to have involved hackers gaining access to hardware and stealing private keys and seed phrases.

This is something our Wallet of Wallets (WoW) solution using our Stable IT2 technology could have prevented.

1. No Stored Keys: With WoW, private keys and biometric aren't stored for hackers to find. Instead, the "key" is only temporarily reconstructed when the executive’s IT2 biometric token is generated via a live scan.

2. Physical Presence Requirement: IT2 includes "multi-level proof-of-life" technology. A remote hacker can't "fake" a face with a photo or deepfake.

3. Fragmented Security: WoW splits the keys to your assets into separate pieces (shards), distributed across independent locations. No single entity, holds enough to access the funds. Only the user's live biometric can regenerate the key and unlock the assets.
