Built me some new really Solid Garage shelves.

Whats your opinion? I don't understand why do cabinet installers put a piece of outside corner molding on the corner of the toekicks? As shown in the first picture. I think that just coloring the edge of the toekick and leaving it exposed looks much better. But that's just my opinion.
