🛳After exploring Alaska's interior by land, my group of 11 travelers has now wrapped up their 7-day Glacier Discovery cruise.

🌅Their voyage took them through the breathtaking Inside Passage, where forested islands, misty shorelines, and snow-capped mountains seemed to stretch endlessly into the distance. They even took in many midnight sunsets!

🐟They explored the colorful waterfront town of Ketchikan, known for its rich Native Alaskan heritage, fishing culture, and stunning coastal scenery. They even caught their own dungeness crab and enjoyed a fresh meal later on.

✨In Juneau, Alaska's capital city, they went whale watching and also saw wild blad eagle all while being were surrounded by towering mountains, glaciers, and some of the most dramatic landscapes in the state.

🐕They played with the Yukon puppies!

🪙They stepped into Alaska's Gold Rush history in Skagway, where rugged peaks and historic streets create one of the most iconic stops in Alaska cruising.

And then came the moments that Alaska is famous for...

🏔️ Glacier Bay National Park
🏔️ College Fjord

Massive walls of ancient ice. Glaciers glowing shades of blue. Wildlife appearing along the shoreline. The kind of scenery that makes everyone on board stop what they're doing and simply stare in amazement.

What I love most about this journey is that it wasn't just a cruise.

This family experienced Alaska from every angle.

And they're still not done.

This week they'll continue their adventure aboard the legendary Rocky Mountaineer, traveling through the Canadian Rockies on one of the world's most scenic rail journeys.
