Girish Rajasekar’s commitment to continuous learning helped him achieve multiple milestones during his time as an OMS Analytics student. After enrolling, he transitioned from an engineering program manager role into data engineering — modernizing both his skill set and his approach to work.

This week, Girish reaches a long-standing personal goal: earning his master’s degree from a U.S. university — and from a Forbes “New Ivy,” no less. Congrats, Girish! 🎓🐝

Each step of Shraddha Shankar’s OMS Analytics journey has been worth celebrating — from two promotions to an engagement and wedding, and now graduating from Georgia Tech with her master’s degree.

It’s an honor to announce that OMS Analytics and its on-campus sister program, MS Analytics, have been awarded the UPS George D. Smith Prize by INFORMS — one of the most prestigious recognitions in operations research, management science, and analytics. The award highlights programs that excel in preparing students to become impactful, real-world practitioners.

OMS Analytics’ own, Pin Hsu, represented the program in Washington, D.C., and was one of several students and alumni who supported the award application, many sharing videos and other supportive content.

Widely considered the largest analytics and data science program in the United States, OMS Analytics continues to grow thanks to its dedicated community of students, alumni, and instructors — including Executive Director Joel Sokol and Associate Directors Duen Horng Chau, Xiaoming Huo, and Lizhen Xu.
