At our State of the Company, we put our growth on the screen and then named the part that list will never show. It captures the destination, but says nothing about the climb.

What the climb takes is a choice we make every time something breaks. We say the hard thing out loud, in the room, and ask what each of us is going to do about it. It always starts in the same place. With ourselves. That's the part a list can't measure. That's my agency.

We just signed two new shareholders at Snellings Walters: Tammy Hawthorne and Bella Santana.

When Billy made the announcement to our agency, he went past the titles and talked about who they are as people.

On Tammy, he said in the words of Alicia Keys… this girl is on FIRE. She’s a problem solver who steps in without hesitation, and we've all felt the wake of her success.

On Bella, he talked about roses. They're her favorite flower. And if you've ever grown them, you know they only bloom because someone keeps cutting them back. Bella has been doing that work on herself, personally and professionally, for years. Most of us only see the bloom.

Becoming a shareholder here isn't a title we hand out. It's earned over time and by those incredibly aligned with our values. Tammy and Bella earned it.
