Sometimes the best way to grow is to expand your audience, beyond the niche you started with and broadening out to a larger demographic.

That’s what happened to Atlanta Vintage Books owners Jan Bolgla & Bob Roarty, who purchased a store that was largely focused on collectors and decided to expand their offerings to reach families and students with unique, affordable books.

Meeting that goal meant utilizing their space as well as finding a way to differentiate themselves from other bookstores by seeking out unusual books that other stores weren’t selling, while maintaining a collection of the classics that people expect to find.
