Shooting on Super 8 changes the way you think about filmmaking.
You can’t just roll forever. Film costs money. Every take matters. Every shot has to be planned before you pull the trigger.
It forces you to slow down and actually think:
“What does this shot NEED to be?”
And when you finally get the footage back? The grain, the texture, the weird imperfections… it feels alive in a way digital sometimes doesn’t.
Super 8 isn’t the easiest way to learn filmmaking.
But it might be one of the best.

I had the absolute most amazing cast and crew any truly indie film has ever had. These folks showed up, gave it everything, and helped me make something chaotically unique.
Making a movie is insanity. Things break. Plans change. Days get long. Sometimes everything feels like it’s falling apart. That’s when you find out who your cast and crew really are.
On this project, these people showed up. Every time. No matter what the day threw at us. When things got tough, they didn’t complain — they rolled up their sleeves and made the movie better. I’m incredibly lucky to have worked with this group. Movies only exist because of people like this.
