Congratulations to The Arts & Cultural Authority of Claxton-Evans County and the entire community on the grand opening of the Jack & Muriel Strickland Arts & Cultural Center! Fox Gives was honored to attend the ribbon cutting and celebrate the transformation of the former Claxton High School into a vibrant new space for arts, culture, and community.
After supporting this project over the past four years through our Single-Year Grant Program, it was inspiring to see hundreds of community members gather to mark this milestone and the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Evans County and the surrounding region. Projects like the Strickland Center demonstrate how investing in historic theaters and cultural spaces can strengthen communities, preserve local history, and spark economic growth.
Congratulations to the Arts & Cultural Authority of Claxton-Evans County, Chair Adam Kennedy, the design and construction teams, fundraisers, craftspeople, and everyone whose vision made this project possible.
Fox Gives' Single-Year Grant Program helps support preservation, restoration, and revitalization efforts at historic theaters and cultural venues across Georgia.
