As we continue to celebrate Women’s History Month, today we shine a spotlight on Emma Amos, an Atlanta-born artist whose bold, vibrant work explored the intersections of race, gender, identity, and power. Throughout her career, Amos challenged the barriers faced by Black women in the art world, using painting, printmaking, and textiles to create dynamic works that questioned representation and celebrated Black life.
A pioneering voice in both feminist and contemporary art movements, Emma Amos reminds us that art can be both a form of resistance and a celebration of identity.
Join us this Women’s History Month as we continue to uplift the women whose creativity, courage, and vision inspire generations.
