Supporting Grady Health System and the community of Greater Atlanta

06/12/2026

Did you know that when Atlanta shows up on the world stage, Grady shows up too?

As Atlanta prepares to welcome hundreds of thousands of visitors for the FIFA World Cup, the Grady Health Foundation is proud to support the work that helps ensure our city is ready.

Grady's expert teams have spent nearly two years working behind the scenes, preparing to meet any need that may arise. The team has run disaster drills, hired extra EMS staff, secured additional ambulances, undertaken biohazard training and more to ensure our neighbors and visitors from across the globe enjoy a safe and fun experience while here.

As Atlanta's only level one trauma center, Grady helps power the city’s ability to host world-class events that drive economic growth and global connections. And the need for complex care doesn't stop when the World Cup ends. Grady cares for our community, no matter the event, the season or the status.

"They look at the heart of the person."

Dr. Jo has spent her life caring for others – and Grady has been there to care for her. Since 2000, Grady has been her trusted partner. From guidance that supported her body and spirit to preventive care at her neighborhood clinic, Grady provided compassion, respect and hope.

You can help Grady continue providing kind, compassionate care to our community across Atlanta by donating today. Use the link in the comments to stand with Grady.

Yesterday, our Grady Young Professionals group had the opportunity to hear powerful, firsthand stories about the impact of the Ponce Center on Atlantans.

Beyond the facts and figures, what stood out most were the human moments—how access to care, support, and compassion can truly transform lives. From prevention and research to treatment and wrap-around services, Ponce is helping lead the fight to end the HIV/AIDS epidemic in our community.

Did you know that Grady's Ponce De Leon Center:
🔴 Treats over 11,500 HIV/AIDS patients per year.
🔴 Has experienced 14% growth in patients served per year
🔴 Has an 85% patient population who is Black/African American
🔴 Has an 80% patient population with an income of $30K or less per year
🔴 Has a 30% patient population of women
🔴 Offers wraparound services including mental and social services assistance
🔴 Is at risk of losing millions of dollars that directly impact research, treatment and prevention efforts due to federal funding cuts

💬 Are you familiar with the positive impact Ponce has on Atlanta? Share your thoughts below.

Today, we pause to recognize the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces who sacrificed everything to maintain our freedoms. We honor their service and their courage.
