It is with great sadness that we announce that Georgia Shakespeare has closed its doors after 29 seasons. We are grateful to all of the artists, audience, staff, volunteers, board members and funders who have been a part of this company for 29 years. We have much to be proud of and we will live on in the memory of those whose lives we touched.

As we look forward to being with a very generous group of Atlanta artists who are helping us out with our benefit this Monday, here are some kind words from Tom Stoppard for us:
"Regional Shakespeare is national Shakespeare, and live performance IS Shakespeare, so I hope that Georgia Shakespeare can survive and flourish."
