The Annual Walter Rodney Symposium — The Walter Rodney Foundation Since 2004, an annual symposium has been held in Atlanta, Georgia or virtually during the week of Walter Rodney’s birthday (23 March). The goal is to bring together scholars, researchers, activists, students, and the community to discuss contemporary issues from a Rodney perspective.

This year’s Keynote at the Walter Rodney Symposium is Dr. Natalia Kanem, Under-Secretary General of the United Nations and Executive Director of the United Nations Population Fund. She is a major world leader who oversees programs and people in 120 countries. Please share with colleagues in related fields, who would like to join us for this free and open event!
