Our Story
Ubeyond started initially as a professional network to host engaging conferences to connect the professional world with students who are in need of guidance and mentorship. It was based on a conversation between community leaders and the need for quality mentorship networking in underserved communities.
Our first annual conference was hosted in 2013 followed by annual conferences and summits till 2018.
We updated our focus based on the the experience and feedback from the community. UBeyond is now focused on being present in communities to connect them with the professional world in meaningful and sustainable ways.
Our mission is to provide underserved communities with the foundations of higher learning, professional networks, and educational opportunities through our innovative community based approach.
Ubeyond stands for going beyond common practices and empowering "U" (individual and communities) through the power of "Being Present"
