Some people think a uniform means wearing the same thing every day.
That's not what I mean.

A uniform is simply a handful of outfits you know you'll feel good in.

On the mornings when my brain is already full, I don't have to think. I already know where to begin.

Mine has changed over the years. First it was a maxi dress. These days it's high-rise Levi's, a cropped tee, sunglasses with a little personality, and shoes that match my mood.
It's one less decision to make.

White is the color I underestimate every time.

It looks simple until you really start paying attention. Then it's clouds and butterfly wings, dandelion seeds and moonstone. It's the things that catch the light instead of demanding it.

Moonstone—a gemstone long associated with intuition and new beginnings. A reminder to trust what you already know.

the deeper idea isn't play. it's permission.

as children, we didn't need a reason. as adults, we feel like we do.

every hobby becomes a side hustle.
every walk becomes exercise.
every book becomes self-improvement.
every craft becomes something to sell.
even rest becomes something we optimize because it'll make us more productive later.

that's the tension.

the nostalgia isn't really for summers past. it's for the freedom to do something without needing to justify it.
