June is one of the months that boasts multiple birthstones, but it was traditionally associated with the pearl. Not a stone but a gem formed when mollusks deposit calcium carbonate around an irritant, these organic gems boast a creamy white but color-shifting appearance. Due to the expense of pearls, those born in June might also choose milky, glowing moonstone or alexandrite, which is remarkable for being blue-green in daylight and turning purple-red in artificial light. In even design, we appreciate the changeable nature of white-themed elements.

When the backdrop is lakeside in Augusta at the Masters, you rise to the occasion. We designed a full evening experience, white lounge seating on the lawn for cocktail hour, sage and amber cocktail tables poolside, and a long farm table set under an open-air pavilion. The dinner scene impressed with blue patterned runners, wood chargers, gold flatware, navy napkins, printed menus, and cascading garden florals bursting with peach roses, burgundy, and white ranunculus from end to end. The scenery did the rest. ⛳
