Classic, this drink was a collaborative idea from me and a friend earlier this year. While Altered Bar was just a concept. You could say this drink is some what of an origin story.

The Lemon Pepper Wet

In the Middle Ages cordial meant “of or relating to the heart.” Nowadays it’s typically meant to to refer to a warm friendly atmosphere or a tiger term for a liqueur.

Historically, cordials were originally medicinal tonics derived from botanicals, and many early recipes were non-alcoholic. Over time, alcohol became a common component, but non-alcoholic versions persisted and were often used as refreshing beverages or medicinal tonics.

Making a non-alcoholic cordial involves infusing water (or sometimes vinegar) with herbs, fruits, or spices, then sweetening the infusion with sugar or honey to create a concentrated syrup.
