I talk about breaking cycles because I’ve been there. I’m telling y’all what works. I’m giving y’all the map. I sharing the tools.

Growing up with emotionally unavailable parents breeds many outcomes. One of which is believing you aren’t important. That what you want, think, feel, and need should be bottled up, put to the side, or ignored all together. Basically, invalidated.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

As adults, this mindset can show up as fear. Fear of conflict, abandonment, rejection, speaking up, being your real self, and more. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

When we reparent, we replace that mindset with:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- I am important.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- I can speak up for myself.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- What I have to say is important too.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- I am allowed to take up space. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It’s not enough to renew your mind. You must also align your actions with this new belief. That means learning how to communicate instead of shoving your thoughts to the side. That means courageously being seen in your relationships and connections. That means giving yourself what the little you never received.
