Tasty Tuesday

I am a true foodie and we have had some amazing food on this tour. Here is a small write up on each:

Mason Social- Alexandria, VA

Nestled in the quaint neighborhood, Parker-Gray District, full of character and culture. Mason Social serves what I call Southern Fusion dishes. They serve drinks out of Mason jars and some Southern favorites, fried chicken, fried green tomatoes, and shrimp & grits. The service was great, we were greeted and seated immediately. Their signature drink is delicious. I ordered Shrimp & Grits (without the pork rub and substituted the shrimp for salmon) with a side of fried green tomatoes.

Uncle C's Chicken & Waffles- Alexandria, VA

Newly opened, this restaurant takes old combinations and give them a new twist. This restaurant is centrally located off I-495. It's a must try!!! I ordered 3pc fried fish, waffle, and sautéed spinach. 😋 The fish was a golden brown and cooked to perfection. The waffle was light and fluffy and the sautéed spinach was seasoned just right. 🍴 🍴 🍴 🍴 🍴

Condado Tacos. Tequila. Margaritas- Detroit, MI

Tacos anyone!!! 🌮 I'm always in the mood for Mexican food and a good Margarita 🍹. This place did not disappoint. Down in the electic Midtown neighborhood of Detroit. Small, cute, and artsy. The walls are decorated with unique colorful murals and the bar is fully stocked with more tequila then you can count. I ordered queso dip, Sweet Lucy Double Decker taco (hard and soft shell, roasted mushrooms, smoked cheese, lettuce, avocado 🥑 ranch sauce. I tried a delicious refreshing harvest pear margarita 🍐. The family ordered build your own nachos and classic soft tacos. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the beautiful mild temperatures of Detroit.

As we continue to travel, we will continue to taste wonderful and delicious food. Open your pallet and expand your mind to new foods.
