POLICE PISTOL COMBAT MATCH BBQ A HUGE SUCCESS!
"EAT-N-SHOOT" FORMAT ALWAYS A CROWD PLEASER!

Last Friday evening July 10th CNJFO members were invited to attend the semi-annual Police Pistol Combat Match Food Fest known far and wide as the "Eat-N-Shoot BBQ". A staple at the Old Bridge Rifle & Pistol Club for around two decades, it's exactly what it says it IS! Everybody eats, then the regular Match starts and more folks drive from all over to get in on the fun! So those that arrive first eat and shoot first, and they never run out of food or camaraderie as everybody gets to shoot no matter when they show up at the Old Bridge indoor range.

The BBQ featured hotdogs, hamburgers, condiments of all types, potato salad, pickles, soft drinks, water and scrumptious desserts. The ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT affair, catered by League Co-Chair and CNJFO Trustee Dave "Rosey" Rosenthal, ran a mere 10 American in addition to the routine Match fees.

If it's not too hot next month there will be a regular Match followed by the resumption of the League's much-loved Enrichment Exercise Drills where everyone gets challenged to speed things up a bit utilizing a customized stage from IDPA and/or USPSA. This month's scores are posted in Practiscore and the last two images in this picture story.

Dana Cerbone calls herself The Prepared Pacifist for a reason. She is the Chapter Facilitator for the New Jersey-North Chapter that meets at Reloaderz on Rt. 23 in Wayne, NJ. and Long Shot Pistol & Rifle in Secaucus, NJ. A retired school teacher who discovered the benefits of fi****ms training as an older adult. she has fallen in love with the practicality, challenges, and community of shooting. She attended our March CNJFO Hog Hunt, has shot the Police Pistol Combat Match with Dave "Rosey" Rosenthal and hosted a weekend workshop at Callahan Training Group in the Poconos. Dana is attending the CNJFO Sporting Clays fundraiser at Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays on Saturday July 11th.

Her goal is to share her passion for self protection and the shooting sports with you. A Girl and A Gun provides so many learning opportunities locally and nationally, and it is a wonderful way to spend time with other amazing women. Dana hopes you’ll join her!
