Time to dust off those drought plans for ranchers and farmers in the Nevada Irrigation District!

Damage to PG&E facilities in the high country means NID can't move water to lower elevation reservoirs. The district is currently asking for voluntary cutbacks in water use, but will discuss further at tomorrow's board meeting.

In the meantime, here are some things to consider if you rely on NID water to irrigate pasture:
