I never appreciated having an amazing mother, until I HAD to be one. I never appreciated what it took to just keep a child alive, until I almost lost my own. I didn’t realize how challenging every day could be, until I had someone who truly challenged me. All this to say that being a mother made me who I am today, and I’m the mother I am because of all those moms who helped me along the way! Happy Mother’s Day to all those who are celebrating, even with mixed emotions, this day of all the women we’ve been, loved, and will become!!!
