Hi friends!

A couple weeks ago, I had Covid, and this was my NYE meal for the night — Filipino style! A little bit of rice, palabok, kare kare, barbecue, and sautéed bokchoy!

I wanted to take this time to address my absence… oops 😅 The later half of 2021 was a rough time for me. I was going through the worst mental state I’ve ever been in, and i was miserable living life, if I’m being honest. 2022 has started, and so did my winter break from college, and I feel a little more refreshed than before!

This account was always a personal food diary to me, and I want to continue keeping it like that! Seeing all the foodies on this page is inspiring nonetheless, but comparing myself and aiming for a goal I don’t think I even need for myself might stress me out more. So, here’s to my food diary of 2022! Less stress, no formalities, just me sharing what I love!

I’ve been craving a lobster roll for forever, and as soon as we got to Maine, I knew I had to try a fresh Maine lobster roll! It’s a tad bit pricey, but the quality is there — a little smaller than other lobster rolls I’ve had before, but it was worth the try! You can really taste the freshness of this (although I have to say, I’m not too much of a seafood person, so I don’t notice it as much as others). It was still great to have, especially being my first time in Maine! 🦞
