MINDFULNESS MONDAYS
Today we will be discussing what common questions are asked about mindfulness.

1.) Is there a right/wrong way to meditate?
People often think that they are not meditating correctly because they are not able to quiet down their racing minds. You may get lost in random thoughts or notice distracting sounds around you. As long as you focus back on your meditation, then you are doing it right! Focus your attention to your breathing and the sensations in your body.
2.) How long will it take before I notice a difference/change?
This truly depends on the individual and how often they practice mindfulness. You'll start to notice a change when you feel like you have a new perspective on how to respond to situations. There will be a sense of choice or freedom from your automatic/habitual tendencies.
3. What exactly is the point of being mindful?
Mindfulness has many benefits (please refer to all our previous posts). However, the most important quality of being mindful is the ability to focus. Focus gives you the power to truly listen to your intuition. You are able to view thoughts, feelings, and situations from a leadership standpoint. Training the mind to focus and pay attention to little details is what helps you see beyond the surface.
