The Division of Research and Innovation is launching the TSU Junior Research Academy, a one-week immersive STEM camp for rising 6thβ8th graders, August 3β7, 2026, on campus. Campers spend four days running real experiments in physics, biology, microbiology, and chemistry, then present their findings at a Friday Research Showcase. The program is designed to introduce Houston middle schoolers to research β and to TSU β at the age when they are forming their sense of whether science is for them. Share with families.
Open to rising 6thβ8th graders. The fee is $250 per camper, and enrollment is limited to 10 campers. Registration closes July 15 and the link and details are in the attached flyer but can also be found here. Please forward widely.
This is their inaugural cohort and the foundation for what comes next.
