Meet Jane-Ann Reinink, JMG High School Specialist at Oceanside High School and a member of the 2026 Unum Starting 9 ⚾

Jane-Ann creates a classroom where every student feels valued, welcomed, and empowered to succeed. Through innovative practices like “Student Leader of the Day,” she helps students build confidence, strengthen leadership skills, and develop the tools they need to succeed.

Her students regularly take on leadership roles through community projects, business field trips, fundraising efforts, career fairs, and school events. Jane-Ann builds strong relationships with students and families, creating an environment where students feel connected, supported, and encouraged to reach their goals.

A leader among her peers, Jane-Ann also shares her knowledge and enthusiasm through regional and statewide trainings, helping strengthen JMG programs across Maine.

Meet Tori Hildreth, JMG High School Specialist at Old Town High School and a member of the 2026 Unum Starting 9 ⚾

Tori is known for her unwavering commitment to students, JMG, and the greater Old Town community. She leads with humility, always putting the needs of others first and creating opportunities that help students discover their strengths and reach their goals.

Whether she is supporting students in her classroom, mentoring others, or helping expand access to programs like the Maine Career Exploration Badge, Tori consistently finds ways to make a difference.

Her passion for students, dedication to her community, and commitment to the mission of JMG make her incredibly deserving of this recognition.

Meet Joe Hayes, JMG College Success Specialist at the University of Maine at Augusta and a member of the 2026 Unum Starting 9 ⚾

Joe is known for his genuine approach and his commitment to helping students feel supported, valued, and capable of success. From guiding students through difficult transitions to connecting them with important campus resources, Joe consistently goes above and beyond to help students feel comfortable, confident, and prepared for what comes next.

Before joining UMA as a College Success Specialist, Joe served as a JMG High School Specialist, bringing years of experience and dedication to his current role. In addition to supporting students, he has also stepped into leadership and mentorship roles within JMG, helping organize regional events, supporting fellow staff members, and preparing students for major showcase opportunities.

Joe’s leadership, reliability, and care for students continue to make a lasting impact across the UMA and JMG communities.

JMG High School Specialists build meaningful relationships with students while supporting career exploration, skill development, credential attainment, and life after graduation through our Competency to Credential Framework.

In this role, you will:
• Guide students as they build confidence, develop real-world skills, and prepare for future success
• Support academic engagement, graduation, postsecondary planning, and career readiness
• Help students earn credentials through demonstrated learning and real-world experiences
• Partner with schools, employers, families, and community organizations to support student growth
• Create supportive environments where students feel seen, valued, and empowered

JMG Specialists serve as mentors, advocates, and trusted guides who help students discover their strengths and prepare for meaningful futures.
