Did you know that we offer private lessons in the CSRA, Charleston & Asheville areas! Grab some friends or your husbands and let us help you learn American mahjong! It’s a 4 person minimum but we can accommodate larger groups. We’ll bring all the necessary play items, you bring the fun vibes! 💙

While we offer lessons at Augusta Needlepoint & Third Thursday Mahjong, we LOVE our privates! We come to you- whether it’s your house, a country club room, an office space or somewhere else, we’ve got you covered.

We’ll bring all the necessary materials to learn American mahjong, lead a 2 hour lesson that will give you an overview of all National Mahjong League rules & play at least 1 full game of American Mahjong.

Let's learn American Mahjong! Our lessons come with everything you need to learn how to play. We'll have the table fully set up and ready to learn. During our lessons we will go over the brief history/ origins of the game, then we'll move on to learning the tiles, how to read & utilize the National Mahjongg League Card, & order/flow of gameplay then we'll play at least 1 full game.
Our lessons are $55 per person and include light snacks & refreshments.

Already know how to play American Mahjong and want to challenge your skills? Join our Open Play tables! Our open play tables will have all materials provided plus your choice of card- the 2026 NMJL League Card, The 2026 Big Card from The Mahjong Line or the 2025 NMJL Card. Table talks! Our Open Play seats are $35 per person and include light snacks & refreshments.
