Colorado pharmacist law changed for the worse.

Pharmacists were overwhelmed to begin with, but changing the pharmacist to technician ratio created a safety concern!

A sole pharmacist works an entire shift as the only pharmacist. They have to close the pharmacy for a brief lunch break or restroom break. All the normal amount of prescriptions get bottle-necked at the pharmacist where they are pulled in 100 different directions counseling, phone calls, vaccinations, etc.

An overwhelmed and overworked pharmacist does not perform at their best. Believe me, I have been there and have many friends who just can’t do it anymore.

On top of it all, no one is assessing safety: med errors, patient satisfaction, etc.

Are you satisfied with your pharmacy experience?

Another piece of the vaccine discussion: When the choice to vaccinate or not doesn’t come down to the vaccines themselves, but the trust people have in the system.

Vaccines have risks and benefits. But all too often that is thrown by the wayside for “safe and effective”. No nuance. No individualized care. Just guideline and fear.

And all too often we hear of those cases where a child had a bad reaction and the medical community gaslights them or dismisses it as coincidence and no one helps them!

On top of it all, pharmaceutical companies aren’t even liable for the safety of their own vaccines! That doesn’t instill confidence either.

So, forgive all of us who now have trust issues.
