FCC Mom2Mom

Hello ladies of FCC Mom2Mom! I hope you all have had a wonderful summer and were able to enjoy some time with your families and were able to relax a little!!

After a lot of thought and consideration I have decided to not coordinate FCC Mom2Mom again this year. It was a hard decision because I love the fellowship, advice and conversation brought to these monthly meetings! I have learned so much from you ladies, but I feel this isn't the season for me to lead the group.

As I shared the last few months of Mom2Mom in the spring, I will no longer be working at the school and with my work plans not defined as of yet, I didn't want to take on more than I could handle and just take a little time "off"!

I would love to leave this page open so that we can continue to share encouraging words or events that everyone might enjoy or if anyone would like to plan a special dinner or evening out...post here!

Please keep me posted on how you all are and I can't thank you enough for allowing me coordinate this group over the past two years and learn so much from each of you! I treasure this community of mothers and know that this job is hard and we all need support and love! Wishing you all the best as we all gear up for another amazing school year! Just a friendly reminder that we will meet this week for our monthly MOM2MOM meeting at FCC! Steph will be sharing a devotional with us this month and leading our discussion on the importance of friendship!

I am so excited to see you ladies this month and share in this conversation! Please share with your friends who may not already be members of our Mom2Mom group, formerly known as MOMSnext. Below you will find more information about our group for sharing!

Will you join us?! Mom2Mom meets THISThursday from 6:30P.M.-8:30P.M at FCC.

Childcare will be provided at $5 per family. Please let Brandi know by tomorrow if you will need childcare for this meeting so we can ensure we have enough childcare workers on Thursday!

I have created a signup genius for each meeting's snack. It is a pretty simple signup with 3 items, one savory, one sweet and a drink. And because our numbers can change, I just ask that you bring enough for 10-12 people. And don't stress, make it easy...a bag of pretzels or some fruit...some simple!

Join us for Mom2Mom at FCC! A ministry to mothers of school-age children and beyond. The need for community doesn’t end when our children start school!

Mom2Mom is a group of moms of school aged children coming together to develop deepening relationships as we learn about the beauty of our role as a mother. Whether married or single, working outside the home or inside the home, we’re all on the journey of motherhood. We will come together in a small group setting to experience genuine community, personal and spiritual growth as well as gain practical advice from other mothers.

Our monthly meeting brings together mothers for an evening of fellowship where we will enjoy a light snack, learn from a speaker or discuss practical advice and spiritual growth. Come join other moms in our community for a time of relaxation and relationship!

Our Mom2Mom Ministry is a next step for many MOPS moms who outgrow preschool topics, but desire to continue being encouraged by a community of mothers. Who attends Mom2Mom? Any mother of school-age children is welcome to a Mom2Mom meeting.

Just a reminder...I have updated the new event for this week's meeting! ~ We will meet again at FCC at 6:30pm - 8:30pm. Food and drink will be provided, so please RSVP so we can plan accordingly!

Also, if you will need childcare for this meeting, please comment on this event or send Brandi J Walls-Mabry a message with how many children and their ages! Childcare is provided for $5 per family, per meeting.

In other words, what we treasure is what we have feelings for. The more we treasure God, the greater our desire to spend time in His Word and in prayer. The more we treasure our spouses and treat them like valuable gifts from God, the greater our positive feelings toward them will be. And the same can be said for any relationship in our lives.
