Indigeneity is a complex of histories, homes, genetics, traditions, and ideas that every human being is connected to. For some, this is marked by a profound connection to documented generations, and the ground beneath their feet; for others, the blank pages of their history break the intimate bonds with their unique branch of humanity.⁣

Through our programming this season, we seek to shatter stereotypes and steward humanity through the arts. We have commissioned and will present works by artists who are living in this complex, widening the currently impoverished dialogue surrounding indigenous issues and the concept of indigeneity in the United States and abroad.⁣
