One of my favorite bridal portraits ever, and it wasn't planned at all. Hannah and Eli were signing the ketubah after their ceremony and I was struck by how beautifully the light was hitting her in this important moment. I do a fair amount of prompting and suggesting, but it's also important to know when to shut your mouth and just pay attention to what's naturally happening around you.

The botanic gardens are a beautiful place to get married. Even if you don't have your actual ceremony there, you can plan for a little extra time in the day to go there for some private, quiet portraits. That's what Karina and Sebastian did, and even though it was incredibly warm that day, I have a feeling we'll be missing the sunshine in a week or two.

If it were up to me, every wedding would have a dog in it. Sometimes the weather or location don't really lend themselves well to our canine companions, which is why engagement sessions are the perfect time to bring them along! It's a little more relaxed and less pressure for dogs who may not be able to make it through a whole day full of new and exciting things. If you want more ideas of how and when to incorporate your dog at some point during your wedding, elopement, or engagement, check out my page linked in the bio. There's a lot of info on there, but I can summarize it for you: YES you should bring your dog ❤️🐾
