Today, we filed suit on behalf of the owners of eighteen of the dogs that were killed at the Ponderosa Pet Resort in Georgetown, Texas. The lawsuit is meant to protect Texas pets. It’s about safety and accountability. We are still mourning the loss of the dogs at the Ponderosa Pet Resort and hope that this lawsuit will help encourage kennel owners across the United States to take fire safety seriously.
In the coming months, we hope to get answers as to how the fire started and what could have been done to prevent it. We also seek to hold those responsible accountable, although that process has only just started.
