Ear Candy 2.0

Years ago, one of my friends & former music writer colleagues at the American-Statesman once asked me if I’d seen and heard T Bird and the Breaks yet. I hadn’t. Corky was always turning me onto bands, deep soul songs, and more … as the coolest friends (who are also mentors) often do.

“You gotta see ‘em,” he said. Cut to years & years later, and several years back from today, and I meet at where we chop it up talking about music. Months after that, Tim (aka Jank Sinatra) offhandedly mentions in passing that he makes music. I eventually learned one of his *many* music projects & bands is T Bird and the Breaks. 🤯

… I love it when friends hip me to music that I end up loving. Corky is hanging with the ancestors now, but I know he would be looking forward to tomorrow’s (Mon, 3/16) guests as much as me.
