Texas took a beating this week. It was devastating to see what can happen when infrastructure crumbles and governments don’t (properly) prepare for natural disasters. Austin is home to a million people, and over half of those citizens went without food, heat or water for days in frigid temperatures.
I feel incredibly fortunate to have had power this week, and our running water is back after a few days shut off. Many Austinites have not been as lucky, and thousands don’t even have access to a safe home.
I have decided to offer this ATX skyline as a print to raise money for , a nonprofit focused on temporary and long-term relief for people without homes. For the next week, 100% of profits will be donated, and I will continue donating a portion of profits indefinitely. Link in bio!!
*Thank you for this wonderful idea!

“Being American is more than a pride we inherit.
It’s the past we step into, and how we repair it.”
- Amanda Gorman, Inaugural Poet
So inspired by this brilliant poet and her beautiful, honest words. I encourage you to read her whole speech if you haven’t yet. As she so eloquently put, our future is bright but we have to work to make it that way. Always speak truth and be brave enough to be the light in the world 💛✨

No place like home for the holidays😍🎄
•
This Christmas season will be a bit different for me. It will be my 4th winter living in Austin but the first time I will not be traveling back home to Michigan for the holidays. It’s definitely a weird feeling but thankfully, we got to see our families in October for our wedding❤️
Are you spending their Christmas somewhere other than usual? How are you coping with it?
