Whats the thing you fear most on a road trip? Car trouble!

When we found ourselves with a slow leak in a tire in West Texas on the way to Colorado for the Fourth of July, we wondered if we could make it to Albuquerque. When all the tire shops in Lubbock were booked and busy, we decided the tire was leaking slowly enough that we could keep it aired up periodically and stay on the road for the day. Then deal with it in ABQ the next morning.

But as I drove from Lubbock, Phillip got on the phone to Littlefield, the next town. And Littlefield Tire said they could help us!

Miracle workers that they were, they got us in, fixed the tire, charged us $18.50 (can you believe it?!), and we were on the road again in 30 minutes. They were simply doing what they do, and we were the beneficiaries of their amazing service.
