Rescue One More

When people hear “hero,” they think of monuments and history books.

But we think about the woman who took in three of her sister’s children when no one else would. The nurse who stayed past midnight at a child’s bedside. The neighbor who picked up the phone and said, “Something is wrong here.”

Uganda is held together by ordinary people doing extraordinary things. That’s who we celebrate today. That’s who we want to keep becoming.
