Keys to Breakthrough Your Communication Challenges
Challenges are different and change depending on the situation.
Talking to your good friend is different than speaking with your boss.
How can you start to see success?
Step 1: Notice the situational differences.
You’ll begin to see where it’s easier and where it’s harder.
Step 2: Brainstorm a list of situations
Make a list of situations - phone vs. video vs. in-person; friends vs. familiar people vs. strangers; home vs. community vs. school vs. work; one-on-one vs. small groups vs. larger audiences.
Step 3: Make a hierarchy of Easier > Harder
Once you organize the list from “easier” > “harder” situations, then you can see what you’ve already done successfully and what would be the next challenge to tackle. And at the same time, leave the hardest situations for later on. When you’re ready you can get to the harder ones. For now, take steps to do the “next thing” on your list.
Try this formula and you’ll see it’s so much easier and you’ll be more successful than trying to do everything at once. As you progress forward, with new tools, successful experiences, easier achievements, and growing stronger confidence.
Each step can unlock the next. You will see newfound success in the conversations that matter most to you.
This is how we can break through and bring our hopes to life.
