Gently but firmly rotating the sacrum toward the table, lengthening the lumbar spine, allowing the breath to stretch down into the lower belly. Yes. 👏

When I do this to my clients, it’s often their first voluntary breath of the session. Their signal to me that they’re ready to receive and work on themselves. I love opening sessions with compressions and mobility checks. 😌

What’s your favorite thing about getting on a table?

Mine is actually those few moments before the therapist starts working that I get to lay completely face down and feel my spine being pulled by gravity in a different way. I enjoy this moment of checking-in and seeing if what I *think* I need is what my body is asking for.
