My father Stanley M. Tomln shared a story with me, "Son one day I was drilling on a piece of metal and the bit was just spinning. Your grandfather Glyn told me to go get a ice cold glass of water, chair and a 2x4. Glyn set the 2x4 under the truck bumper and on top of the drill. I asked him was the glass of ice water to cool the bit, he replied no its for me to drink while you push down on the board." I saw my father do the same thing at the lumber yard to one of his employees a glass of ice water, chair and 2x4. Unfortunately when it came to be my turn I could not stand by and drink a glass of ice cold water but, I did make something work they said could not be done!!!! Thanks Dad!!!!!! Know this story will pass on to Sterling and hopefully one day it will get him out of a bind also.
