From Tala - Pro Bono Trademark maintenance clinic

The University of Texas School of Law presents the Trademark Maintenance Clinic, administered by the Mithoff Pro Bono Program. The clinic is now accepting applications from small businesses and nonprofits seeking free legal guidance on trademark maintenance and protection.

This clinic is for businesses that already have a trademark and would like guidance on continued management of that trademark, including the 5-year and 10-year USPTO filing requirements.

Selected applicants will:

• Have their application and trademark protections reviewed by law students, under the supervision of licensed attorneys.

• Receive the results of a search for potentially infringing trademarks and an explanation of best practices for conducting these searches in the future.

• Be invited to our clinic to take place on April 9th to receive tailored guidance on protecting and renewing their company name and/or logo trademarks.
