Wynwood, an industrial neighborhood that transformed in the 2000s into one of the world’s most famous urban art districts.

I had the experience of walking through its mural-filled streets and stumbling upon an incredible store full of guitars and collectible cars… the kind of place that feels straight out of a movie.

🇻🇪Wynwood, un vecindario industrial que en los años 2000 se transformó en uno de los distritos de arte urbano más famosos del mundo.

Tuve la experiencia de caminar entre sus calles llenas de murales y toparme con una tienda increíble de guitarras y carros de colección… de esos lugares que parecen sacados de una película.

These little artists filled my Tuesday evenings with so much art, love, color, and meaningful learning. Yesterday we celebrated the end of our Art After School program, and I truly hope I’ll have the opportunity to continue being part of their creative growth next school year. 🎨

Thank you to Mexic-Arte Museum for the opportunity, and to Austin Independent School District for supporting spaces that promote culture, creativity, and youth development.

This was their final project: each student created their own garden using different techniques, materials, and textures. 🌿🌸

🇻🇪Estos pequeños llenaron mis martes por la noche de mucho arte, cariño, colores y grandes aprendizajes. Ayer culminamos nuestro programa de after school de arte, y espero poder tener la oportunidad de seguir siendo parte de su crecimiento creativo el próximo año escolar. 🎨

Gracias a Mexic-Arte Museum por la oportunidad y al Austin Independent School District por promover espacios para la cultura, la creatividad y el desarrollo juvenil.

Este fue el proyecto final, donde cada estudiante creó su propio jardín utilizando diferentes técnicas, materiales y texturas. 🌿🌸
