Been thinking a lot about this quote. I recently heard of a therapist who works with entrepreneurs that have emotionally toxic relationships with their own companies. I hear a lot of writers talk about writing like it’s a terrible experience for a great outcome. Is that the way it has to be or just the low bar we’ve accepted?
It feels like culture (at least the parts I’m in) has gotten much closer to understanding we don’t have to passively accept toxic marriages. Maybe we can stop doing that for art and work too.
