We have so many amazing workshop topics and discussions in store for ALIGN Summit!

Join Leah Stewart for her discussion on Pelvic Floor Health.

Many women simply believe that uncomfortable and discouraging pelvic floor incontinence is a normal part of life after childbearing and with aging. Although women may experience some minor incontinence throughout life, it can be corrected and does NOT have to progress into a significant struggle that negatively affects their quality of life and health. It is possible to live without the frustration and fear of incontinence; one just has to simply know which exercises are most effective (hint: kegels are not as awesome as we're told they are).

In this discussion, Leah will break down why the passive acceptance of incontinence in our modern experience as women is negatively affecting many women and how they live their life, pursue their interests and care for others. Through a concise and easy-to-understand explanation of pelvic floor anatomy and common reasons for incontinence, students will gain a better understanding of the importance of pelvic floor health.

This discussion will also explore four major movement necessities and considerations that each woman should be engaging with on a daily basis to not only heal pelvic floor deviations or injuries, but to also build and maintain the highly beneficial balance of pelvic floor strength and mobility that is required for a fully functional, health pelvic floor.

A good Pilates teacher never loses that desire to keep learning. This is one of the best parts about our job. The learning never stops!

Whether you are taking classes yourself at other studios, attending local workshops, or traveling to a weekend conference, you will always learn something new when you take from other teachers.

ALIGN Summit was created to give our community an opportunity to learn and grow. We hope more and more of these types of events continue to show up in our industry.

Our philosophy has always been that the more people that do Pilates, the more people will want to do Pilates. AND...there are enough clients for all of us!

Let's help each other grow and become better Instructors, together.

We hope to see you all at the Summit!
